The latest data on building permits show a significant downward trend with the commercial office asset class looking to be at a standstill. Many factors are playing a roll, from tariffs and immigration to the economy among other things. The slowdown in this asset class isn’t spread evenly across all provinces. And, although overall data shows a downturn, some of the data is positives for some investors.
