With an August 1st deadline for negotiating a trade agreement with the US, Ontario’s Premier is contemplating bringing back his energy tariff. The consensus is to present a united Canadian front, however two of the largest energy provinces aren’t on the same page. How could this division potentially affect negotiations? Also clear, is these negotiations have exposed our reliance on the United States which has forced us to seek independence, which in the long run will be better for Canada.
